Restarting processes on Alpha

Current startup commands;

Start the Alpha Software;
@DFCROOT:[COMS]DFC_STARTUP.COM

Start the RMS software;
@DKB0:[SCOMAGG.S4111.STARTUP]DMS_START
affects the FixLink application on INTERFACE PC
affects the RMSLNK application on INTERFACE PC

To restart (1) without rebooting Alpha, do;
SET DEF DFCROOT:[COMS]
@STOP_PROCS.COM
@DFC_STARTUP.COM

To restart (2) without rebooting Alpha, do;
SET DEF DKB0:[SCOMAGG.S4111.STARTUP]
@DMS_STOP
@DMS_START

When either of the below show not connected;

Fig.1

Fig.2

then this for whatever reason means that the INTERFACE PC is not connecting to the Alpha, a normal resolution would be to reboot the Alpha, however it is possible to restart the processes relating to the above.

Fig.1 seems to be affected by the processes controlled by DFCROOT:[COMS]DFC_STARTUP.COM, while Fig.2 seems to be affected by the processes controlled by DKB0:[SCOMAGG.S4111.STARTUP]DMS_START

So, to fix an issue with (FixLink) Fig.1, do;

SET DEF DFCROOT:[COMS]
@STOP_PROCS.COM
@DFC_STARTUP.COM

and to fix an issue with (RMSLNK) Fig.2, do;

SET DEF DKB0:[SCOMAGG.S4111.STARTUP]
@DMS_STOP
@DMS_START
