How to add Eclipse software repository to RedHat Core Ready Studio

RedHat Code Ready Studio is just a customised Eclipse but there may be reasons for wishing to use this as opposed to Eclipse itself, which as it happens can also have the RedHat stuff added to, termed "Bring your won Eclipse":

https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_codeready_studio/12.12/html/installation_guide/assembly_installing-devstudio-in-eclipse

1). This as it happens may well be the better way to do, with that said...

2). In CRS, check the About information and click on the Eclipse logo.

3). Find the Version number under Eclipse Platform.

4). Google Eclipse [version number], for example "Eclipse 4.15".

5). The results page will show something like;

6). Note the Eclipse 2020-03 (in the example above) and construct a url as below;

http://download.eclipse.org/releases/2020-03 where the 2020-03 is the yyyy-mm format found in the previous step.

7). Add this entry into the CRS Software Sites, you can do this by;

HELP > INSTALL NEW SOFTWARE > MANAGE > ADD

Note: It is also worth checking that the following site is there (replace 4.15 with your version);

http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/updates/4.15 where 4.15 is Version number obtained in the first step above. It should be there but if not, add it.
